JOB OVERVIEW

This is my first time hiring an overseas employee. I have outsourced single jobs for awhile and am now ready to bring someone on a full time basis. I own a design and marketing firm in Clearwater, Florida. We provide SEO and internet marketing services to a handful of local clients. Besides the work for our clients, I am working on some affiliate sites of my own. I will be looking to expand my blog network. I am willing to train the right person, but am hoping to find someone with a grasp of the basics.

The following are the skills that I would consider to be essential requirements.

1. Very Good English Reader & Writer
This is the most important skill. Both for communication between us and because a large part of the job will be writing articles and content for blogs. Anyone who's application is going to be considered will need to submit samples of their writing.

2. Basic Understanding of SEO
This is also very important. You do not need to be an expert, but should at least understand the following: backlink, anchor text, nofollow tag, keywords, pagerank etc.

2. Own a decent computer and have reliable internet access.
This is also very important. Please let me know how reliable the computer and internet connection you have is.

3. Know How to Install and Publish to a Wordpress Blog
A big part of the job will require a working knowledge of Wordpress. You do not need to be an expert for consideration, but I would like you to be familiar with the basics. I'd like you to know how to install a blog with fantistico or ftp. I'd like you to know how to install a theme and plug-in.

The following are the skills that I would consider to be a bonus. They are not required for consideration, but would be an added advantage for an applicant to posses. Please understand that I do not expect to be able to find someone who is an expert in all of these areas, so be as honest as you can when appraising your own skill levels.

1. Graphic and Web Design Skills.
Being able to design and build web pages with custom graphics is a pretty big bonus. Also things like logo design and other skills would be great. If graphic design is a skill of yours, please make sure to include a design portfolio with your application. Let me know what programs you currently use and own.

2. Advanced SEO
Having experience in the more advanced SEO techniques would be a great bonus. Understanding how to do things like create a site audit or video marketing etc... would be great. These are things that I am going to teach you so they are not essential, but if you have experience in the more advanced components of SEO, affiliate marketing or other things, please let me know specifically what you have done.

3. Basic Video Editing.
Again, not essential, but would be nice... In a perfect world. If you have done some video editing please include some examples of your work and let me know what software you use.

4. Great Spoken English
We will probably correspond primarily by email but if you were able to speak english well, it would be great if we could talk every few days to make sure we're on the same page. Your written skills are by for the more important thing, but being able to speak easily would be nice.

5. Marketing Experience
Understanding and possessing experience in other areas of internet marketing would also be nice. If you have experience in things like email marketing, auto responders, social media marketing, adwords, adsense, clickbank (and other affiliate programs), please let me know in detail what your experience levels are.

Again, candidates will not be expected to posess all of these skills so be as honest as possible when you apply for the position. Please rate yourself in all of the areas I am requesting. Include detailed descriptions of your experience levels. When applicable, please provide examples of previous work that you have done.

Payment
I will pay 2,500 php per week for the first six weeks. This period will be a trial & training period. If after 6 weeks, you are working out well, I will pay you a retention bonus of 5,000 php and will increase your weekly pay. I know that 2500 is at the lower end of the spectrum, and I intend to pay you more than that once I have had a chance to evaluate your work. The job will ultimately pay between 3,500-5,000 php per week depending on how well you work out. I will pay good money for good work.
