*CLOSED* Book Editor/Proofreader - Full-Time or Part-Time - $450PM (Longterm)

Hey!

We're a 2-year old book publishing company based in England. We publish different types of books (mostly non-fiction/audiobooks/examination books) in the UK, USA & around the ---------- w, we are looking to hire a proficient individual who can add value to our amazing team. We are publishing, on average, 4 new books per month.

Amongst our team of myself, one full-time assistant (Kate) & multiple freelancers, we already have fantastic niche researchers, cover designers & some great writers, but the one position we are really missing - is a good editor and proofreader - who can polish and fix mistakes in our books before they are published. Therefore, we are now searching for an editor with FLUENT, PERFECT English to take on this role.

Therefore, the main two tasks you would be doing are:

1) Writing & designing new books (we'll always give you detailed outlines so you know exactly what to write about)
2) Proofreading & editing content where the first draft has already been written by other writers (again, we'll provide everything you need!)

**NOTE: We are also open to hiring at a higher $ hourly rate, with less hours per week - if your skills/experience are the right fit. Please mention "part time" if you'd like to apply for a part-time version of this role. **

Requirements:

- Fluent & Perfect Written English (including spelling & grammar)
- Experience with Microsoft Word / Google Docs
- Experience or willingness to learn Canva for designing
- Strong internet
- No Plagiarised Writing or AI-generated content will be allowed (we always check these)
- Daily communication of work completed by email

Even better if you:
- Enjoy proofreading books & know how to use Grammarly or ProWritingAid
- Have experience with Amazon FBA or working with similar business models (transferable skills)
