Mechanical Engineer- Manufacturing/Design

AFC Industries seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team. We are a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of Ergonomic Interactive Technical products for various industries. Our customers include Medical/Healthcare, Public Safety/Mission Control, Government Agencies, IT and Cleanroom Ergonomic Products.

Requirements:

Manufacturing Experience
• Significant experience in manufacturing and design work with sheet metal, acrylic, wood and related materials and
components.
• Improve manufacturing methods, fabrication processes, develop and evaluate current equipment and quality standards.
• Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope
• Investigating, gathering and analyzing data and implementing ---------- veloping and implementing plans to support
lean manufacturing. Experience with Amada equipment is highly ---------- sign Experience
• Create new product designs and engineering specifications.
• Create, modify and maintain 2D and 3D engineering documents.
• Create CAD/CAM files for laser and turret CNC programs using AP 100; bills of materials and prepare estimates to price
customer parts; experience designing in AutoDesk Inventor; and experience with metal fabrication processes.

May perform other duties as assigned
The successful candidate is confident, assertive, and capable of multitasking. This individual must be self-motivated and able to perform routine duties with some supervision. This individual must be able to function as part of a team while often working independently

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and design

Hours and Compensation
• This is a full-time, hourly position
• Work hours:
8:30 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday
• Other hours, as required in accordance with business needs
