Personal Finance Accountant/Bookkeeper

We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as a Personal Finance Accountant/Bookkeeper. This role involves managing personal finances, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and offering advice on financial management. A sound knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency with Mint personal finance software and spreadsheet software is essential. Ideally, candidates will possess CPA credentials, but this is not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day personal financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare financial reports detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Use Mint personal finance software for budgeting, expense tracking, and financial planning.
- Use spreadsheet software for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Provide strategic advice to optimize personal financial health.
- Ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an accountant/bookkeeper.
- Proficiency with Mint personal finance software.
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- High degree of accuracy and ability to multitask.
- Proficient communication skills to explain financial concepts clearly.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
