Assistant Web Developer

Lil Shameless Plug is looking for an SEO & Web Developer Assistant to work for 15-20 hours per week. This is a Fully Remote position with flexible hours. Weekends not required.

At Lil Shameless Plug we help businesses who know they need social media but can’t stand doing it themselves create a thriving community online.

That’s where you come in. This position will work closely with and report to the SEO Manager. Below you will find a list of skills we are looking for.

WordPress and other CMS

A deep understanding of WordPress and its defined best practices.
An understanding of the structure of a WordPress website from themes and plugins to the requisite files.
Experience installing and configuring a new WordPress installation.
Knowledge of common WordPress issues and ---------- ep knowledge of the WordPress admin panel.
A good understanding of site speed and technical SEO issues on WordPress
A real love of learning and staying up to date
Capable of creating website design and implementing it.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn Squarespace or other website platforms if needed

Backend
Know how to set up, maintain, and use popular hosting websites like AWS, Linode, Digitalocean, Hostgator, Siteground, Godaddy, etc
Must have some experience in technical SEO
Know how to use Semrush, Ubersuggest, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console
Must know how to optimize websites for core vitals including website speed optimization
Have experience fixing technical SEO issues that have been provided by an SEO specialist
You’re the type of person who really loves getting the details done right

SEO Requirements:

Must have experience with SEO Audit implementation
Familiar with software/tools/platforms such as SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress, etc.
Familiar with Google Data Studio, Microsoft Clarity, Bing Webmaster tools, and screamingfrog is a plus

Additional Requirements:
Must be able to attend 2-3 meetings per month that will take place between 8am-5pm Pacific Standard Time
