JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented content specialist to work with an in-house and existing freelance team to produce content for websites.

You will work closely with the team and be trained to follow processes and utilise various professional content management and optimisation tools and platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and committed individual with an interest in online education and a willingness to learn and grow while working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the content team to assist in creating, editing, and optimising written content for online educational materials.
Follow established processes and utilise AI, professional content management, and content optimisation tools/platforms to enhance the quality and relevance of written and visual content published online.

Assist in modifying headings, paragraphs, and meta tags to ensure search engine optimisation (SEO) best practises are met.
Support in adding internal links and appropriate keywords to articles for improved readability and search engine ranking.
Assist in selecting suitable images and videos from a provided database to accompany articles and enhance user engagement.
Work with spreadsheets, documents and text files to create, edit and prepare content for uploading to WordPress websites
Assist in maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while adhering to project deadlines.
Collaborate with tea ---------- mbers and communicate effectively to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in British English. Ideally, the candidate will have an internationally recognised English certificate (e.g. IELTS, Cambridge Exams, TOEFL, etc)
University educated with some knowledge of the UK education system (secondary and university level)- and a willingness to learn more
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work collaboratively and learn from the team, following processes and looking for opportunities to improve them
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks to meet project deadlines.
Skilled with Google Office and Microsoft Office packages.
Experience with ChatGPT/OpenAI and their use for specific functions.
Familiarity with SEO principles, an understanding of SEO best practises, and a willingness to learn more

Desired Experience:

Previous experience or exposure to the fields of education, study abroad, university admissions, private teaching, or similar.
Knowledge and familiarity with any of the following: PageOptimizerPro, Surfer, Quillbot, AI writing tools, Dall-E, Midjourney, Grammarly, image editing software, working on a remote desktop, keyword research tools, or any other additional content management or optimisation platforms/tools.
Working knowledge of WordPress and HTML

We offer competitive payment rates according to experience and quality of work. A 25% increase is offered after a candidate complete a probationary period. This is a full-time freelance engagement requiring 40 hours per week.
