Job description
We are currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team! We are a high volume Rheumatology & Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Healthcare Facility with multiple locations throughout New York City.

Responsibilities:
• Extensive follow-up on denied claims to resolve a non-payment denial
• Prepare appeal information to send to insurance carriers
• Communicating with the in-office teams as well as patients to resolve issues on patient accounts
• Research to resolve claim issues within the PM/EMR billing system
• Submit medical records on a timely basis to ensure consistent revenue trends
• Prepare profit and loss models for review
• Ensure timely and correct completion of authorizations and payment posting
• Tracking trends that may hinder billing and collections
• Preparing for and actively participating in meeting with multiple teams

Qualifications:
5 years experience in the healthcare field (A/R, Billing, Collections)
• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets & Workspace is a MUST!
• Strong attention to detail
• Analysis and critical thinking skills
• Follow-up and investigational skills
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams
• Time Management Skills
• Experience with payor portals
