We’re searching for a qualified teaching assistant to help with various undergraduate IT Courses. The ideal candidate will have experience in Information Technology, online blackboard course and education support. This person will help grade, post and respond to discussion questions on a regular basis, ensuring that students’ needs and concerns are met. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive, patient attitude are essential in this role.
This position is Part-Time 7-10 hours per week Must have a Degree in Information Technology (IT).
Objectives of this role
• Support teacher in weekly tasks.
• Cultivate a positive, organized learning atmosphere by adding engagement, and developmentally appropriate content.
• Adhere to school rules and standards, ensuring that all activities, services, and programs are sensitive to, and respectful of, cultural and ethnic diversity.
• Ensure students are following guidelines and implementing school standards under the direction of teacher
Responsibilities
• Assist teacher in organizing the learning environment, maintaining resources, and responding to Discussions, and helping grade.
• Verify and maintain records as required.
• Use communication channels effectively to support the education professor.
Required skills and qualifications.
• Bachelors Degree in Information Systems
• Proven success in working with students.
• Highly effective verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Understanding of basic principles of Information Technology and IT Security.
• Ability to interact comfortably with students of various ages.
• Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes in a dynamic environment.
Preferred skills and qualifications
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field
• Experience in online course platforms
