Engineering Technician

A. Job Summary
- Under the close supervision, performs a variety of basic technical engineering task including monitoring of motors, custodian for tools, plan for the preventive maintenance works, repair and coordinate with the purchasing department for the forecasting, allocation of materials used by engineering department, performs with work within scope of authority and training in assigned area of responsibility.
B. Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of complex technical work in support of Engineering Department.
- Coordinates assigned preventive maintenance repair or corrective maintenance activities with other department and sub-contracted suppliers.
- Participates in the testing, evaluation of new equipment including electronic measuring devices, and other technical engineering equipment for the possible recommendation to top management.
- Observes company policies and code of discipline.
- Performs other related duties that may be assigned by superior from time to time.
C. Qualification & Competencies Required
- Graduate or licensed Electrical Engineer/Mechanical/Electronics is an advantage.
- Vocational course in related field or high school graduate with at least 5 years' experience in the same filed is required.
- Sound technical skills and ability to fix problems with any type of machines.
- Good communication skills and customer service skills. Computer literate.
- Ability to work for extended hours and physically fit.
- Sound understanding of the working mechanism of the tools or the machinery they are handling.
- Should be able to fix minor problems and look after the maintenance of the equipment.
- With written communications skills, good supervisory skills and ability to pay attention towards the details.
