Remote IT Specialist

Rigid Component Systems, a US-based company, is seeking a highly motivated IT Specialist based in the Philippines for an independent contractor role. This remote position will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the IT infrastructure and project management for both Simple Homes (parent company) and Rigid Component Systems (child company). We are looking for a dedicated individual who demonstrates a high degree of ownership and is committed to developing systems and solutions where they may not exist.

Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management:

Troubleshoot employee technology needs, including laptop setup, repair, and trade-ins, utilizing remote access tools and communication platforms.
Manage all aspects of employee technology onboarding, including purchasing new employee computers, setting up correct access, and installing required software based on their role, using remote management capabilities.
Work with Rigid Component Systems and Simple Homes team to find US-based vendors to implement new audio/visual technology as needed, leveraging remote solutions and software.
Implement and manage strong cybersecurity measures across the company remotely, adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
Assist with day-to-day connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and printer connectivity, by providing remote support and guidance to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Manage response to any cybersecurity risks remotely, working closely with the team to address and mitigate potential threats.
Provide tier 1 troubleshooting support for Simple Homes' Estiframe computer, remotely resolving issues and escalating when ---------- tablish and manage employee accounts for Google Workspace, Airtable, Acumatica/Asite (when available), Coda, MiTek, Revit, Bluebeam, etc., utilizing remote access and management tools for seamless account setup and ---------- Project Management:

Ensure IT alignment between Simple Homes and Rigid Component Systems, collaborating remotely with relevant stakeholders.
Provide training and educational resources to employees on cybersecurity, safe data storage, and technology tools remotely, utilizing remote training platforms and resources.
Expand IT infrastructure into new office space/factory space as part of the company's growth plan, coordinating and managing the remote ---------- velop a vision for the use of technology to enhance hybrid and remote work environments, leveraging remote collaboration tools and ---------- velop clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to IT across both companies, creating and documenting processes remotely.
Standardize IT systems, tools, and processes across both companies, working remotely to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Technical Support for Company ERP Implementation:

Assist with the integration of our new ERP system with existing technology systems remotely, collaborating with the implementation ---------- rve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on MiTek's data transfer during ERP implementation, providing remote expertise and guidance.

Success Metrics:
Employee onboarding score.
Quarterly cybersecurity health review.
Number of SOPs ---------- inventory ---------- eting pre-defined ERP implementation milestones on time.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role involving IT infrastructure or IT project management ---------- erest and experience in troubleshooting office IT needs.
Experience in implementing an ERP system is strongly preferred.
Project management certification is strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
Ability to create processes and systems from scratch.
Willingness to learn and problem-solve across various areas.
High level of professionalism and discretion.
Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Please note that this is a remote position based in the Philippines. As an independent contractor, the IT Specialist will be responsible for managing their own taxes, benefits, and expenses in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The contractual terms and payment structure will be discussed during the onboarding process.

Additionally, the company operates in Mountain Time (MT), and the IT Specialist should be flexible with their working hours to accommodate coordination and collaboration with the team in the MT time ---------- is expected that the IT Specialist will adjust their availability as necessary to ensure effective communication and alignment with the team.
