Photo Editing Specialist Needed for Newspaper

Our company designs & lays out 3 newspapers and we are looking for someone who is a master at reviewing and editing photos. On a weekly basis we receive many photos that need to be printed and we need someone to review them to make sure that they meet our printer’s specifications and will come out nicely when they are printed. If they don’t look so good, we will need them to be edited. We are preferably looking for someone who is also able to layout the newspaper and upload the articles to our website.

Responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing photos to check whether they will print nicely
• Editing photos to fix any issues
• Letting us know if a photo can’t be fixed and a replacement is needed
• Laying out the article text + photos
• Uploading article to the website

Required Qualifications Include:
• Experience editing photos for print
• Ability to touch up and make photos look good
• Speaks & writes English well
• Works well with deadlines and understands priorities
• Willing to learn new things
• Excellent communication skills

This is a full time job working US eastern standard time hours. We are looking for someone who is able to work the overnight shift in the Philippines.
