Ruby on Rails / Web Development Ninja Wanted

Hello VAs! I'm a Harvard-educated computer scientist and web developer working on two or three different web applications. I need help with the following technologies:

* Ruby on Rails
* Javascript / Coffescript / Jquery
* HTML / CSS / Sass
* Heroku platform
* Graphic design and layout
* Performance testing and profiling
* Vim / MacVim

I will have questions for you via email or possibly over the phone (your choice). Your English skills should be strong so that we can communicate without errors, but you don't need to be perfect.

If you're interested, I may ask you to contribute to the project directly on Github. I'll be looking for you to provide high-quality code; that is, code that is clean, simple, object-oriented, well-factored, and has good comments. If you write sloppy code, please do not apply for this position.

This is not a full-time position, yet -- it's just for those who would like to make some extra $$ on the side. I only need help 1-3 hours a week at the moment. However, if we work well together and I'm pleased with the quality of your code, there is definitely room for you to take a much larger share in these projects (and other ones) going forward. There will also be opportunity for a webmaster role (using Google analytics, SEO, etc.) in the future, so you are welcome to go ahead and apply for this role if you like.

Your compensation will be based on your skills and experience, but I would expect it to be in the $3 - $15 / hour range. If you're experienced in one or more of these technologies, or if you are new to web development but are willing to go out and find the answers I need -- this could be the job for you.
