Film Editor

Description:
We are seeking a skilled Video Editor with a deep understanding of narrative structures and the ability to see projects through from inception to final product. This position starts on a per-video basis with the potential to evolve into a full-time role within our team, focusing on long-term content editing and the creation of short-form content.

Responsibilities:

Perform basic video editing tasks, including timing and slicing footage.
Undertake advanced post-production duties such as color correction, noise reduction, and audio/video enhancements.
Create compelling long-form content as well as engaging short-form videos derived from larger projects.
Contribute creatively to story arcs and subplot development, ensuring a cohesive and engaging narrative.
Manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and upholding quality standards.

Proven experience in video editing with a portfolio of previous works.
Proficiency in industry-standard editing software and techniques.
Strong storytelling skills and the ability to work collaboratively on creative ideas.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Hiring Process:

Resume Submission: Please submit your resume and samples of your previous work.
Initial Test Edit: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a brief edit using footage we provide ( Expect to spend 10-15 minutes on this).
Compensated Project: Successful candidates will then be given a longer edit project, for which compensation will be provided.
