Job Description:
The Android Developer will hold a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of the Tourch Android application. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, from translating design concepts into functional code to collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless user experience.
The ideal candidate will possess a track record of professional Android development experience, demonstrating proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages. Alternatively, candidates who exhibit a strong foundation in Android app development and the determination to contribute significantly to our app's evolution will also be considered.
Key Considerations
• Lead the technical implementation of the Tourch Android app, from translating design concepts into functional code to implementing new features and updates.
• Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to ensure the app's user interface, features, and overall performance meet the highest standards.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and address bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, optimize performance, and adhere to coding standards.
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive and seamless user experience.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Take a proactive approach to troubleshoot and resolve any challenges that may arise during the development process.

Responsibilities:
At Tourch, the ideal candidate will be required to:
• Upload and manage the existing Tourch Android app and updates on the Google Play Store.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and implement new features and updates to the app.
• Identify and address bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues to maintain a high-quality user experience.
• Work closely with the CEO and CTO to implement requested improvements and features to enhance the app's functionality.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, optimize performance, and ensure best practices are followed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and techniques to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
• Monitor app performance and user feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to provide efficient solutions to technical challenges.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Solid understanding of Android app development, including Android Studio, Android SDK, and libraries.
• Experience with uploading and managing apps on the Google Play Store.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve issues.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
The Android Developer role at Tourch offers a competitive salary of $800 payable every two weeks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of an innovative company that is committed to revolutionizing the ridesharing industry.
