ext.js / JaBeginner-Friendly Next.js / JavaScript Developer (Tutor + AI Coding Setup GuidvaScript / VS Code + AI Coding)

I’m a complete beginner to coding and setting up development environments. I’ll be using ChatGPT and Claude Code as my main “coding partners.” The goal isn’t for me to learn how to hand-write full code right now, but rather to:

Get my workspace set up properly (VS Code, Git, Node.js, Sentry, etc.)

Learn the basic lingo (e.g. “dev server,” “repo,” “npm install”) so I can follow along with AI-generated code

Understand how to read and tweak AI-generated code so I’m not totally lost

Use live screen-sharing sessions where you walk me through real examples, step by step

Build confidence so I can combine AI help with basic coding knowledge

Requirements:

Strong experience with Next.js, JavaScript, Node.js, and Git

Comfortable explaining what’s happening when using AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)

Patience to work with an absolute beginner and explain in plain English

Fluent in English (clear communication is key)

Reliable internet for screen-sharing (Zoom/Google Meet)

Structured and willing to go slow — the goal is understanding, not rushing

Nice-to-Have (but not required):

Experience with Sentry or similar monitoring tools

Familiarity with AI-assisted coding workflows

Work Setup:

Part-time, as-needed (about 5–10 hours over the next week or two to start)

Flexible schedule (we’ll agree on times for live sessions)

Paid hourly
