JOB OVERVIEW

About Plant collective Digital

Plant collective Digital is an ecommerce growth agency working with multiple Shopify brands. We’re looking for a high-skill Shopify developer who can rebuild/implement designs from Figma wireframes and screenshots with strong engineering standards, not “quick hacks”.

This is a long-term role for someone who wants an ongoing relationship. If you’re a fit, you’ll get consistent work across multiple client stores.

What You’ll Do

Reproduce Shopify storefront pages from Figma wireframes + screenshots with high fidelity

Implement sections and components in Shopify Liquid (Online Store 2.0)

Work inside an existing theme (often Dawn-based) and extend it cleanly

Ensure responsive layout accuracy across desktop + mobile

Follow best practices for:

performance (page speed, clean DOM, minimal bloat)

accessibility (semantic HTML, keyboard + screen reader basics)

maintainability (reusable sections/snippets, clean naming, comments)

QA your work thoroughly before delivery (no surprises in production)

Example Design File (You’ll Be Building From)

Figma link: ----------

We’ll also provide screenshot references + examples of sites/components we want you to match.

Must-Have Skills

Strong Shopify theme development experience (Liquid, JSON templates, sections, snippets)

Solid front-end fundamentals: HTML/CSS, responsive layout, JS (vanilla is fine)

Comfortable building from Figma (spacing, typography, layout details)

Good judgement: you know when to use theme settings vs hard-coded values

Git comfort (basic branching/commits), or at minimum structured file/version control habits

Nice-to-Have

Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals / performance in Shopify themes

Experience with Shopify app integrations and avoiding conflicts

Familiarity with Dawn architecture + Online Store 2.0 patterns

How We Work

We’ll provide:

Figma wireframes + screenshots

a clear task list + success criteria

references/examples to match

You deliver:

clean, working implementation

a short Loom walkthrough (what you changed + where)

confirmation of QA checks completed

QA Expectations (Non-Negotiable)

You must test:

Mobile + desktop layout

Cross-browser basics (Chrome + Safari baseline)

Add-to-cart / variant selection / critical interactions (if applicable)

No console errors

No broken layout at common breakpoints (375px, 768px, 1024px+)

What We Need From You (Application Requirements)

Please include:

3–5 Shopify stores you’ve coded (not just “configured”)

Specify what you built (PDP, sections, custom templates, etc.)

A short description of your Shopify theme workflow

Your hourly rate (or per-project preference) + weekly availability

Confirm you can build from Figma with high accuracy

Your timezone + typical working hours

Bonus: share a GitHub, portfolio, or code sample.

Employment Details

Remote

Part-time to start (ramp up to more hours if it’s a fit)

Long-term ongoing work available for successful candidates

Closing

If you’re the kind of developer who takes pride in clean Shopify builds and can turn Figma into pixel-tight, production-ready storefront sections, apply with your examples.
