Type: Contract 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $500USD per month, pay rise after 3-month trial.


Overview
We’re building an internal automation platform that produces and distributes digital content at scale for multiple brands. The work is focused on reliable automation, third?party API integrations, and media processing pipelines (images + short-form video), with a lightweight operations dashboard to monitor runs and fix issues fast.

This is a hands-on build for someone who can own architecture through to production deployment and deliver a system that runs daily with minimal manual effort.

What you’ll work on
Automation engine: job queues/workers, scheduling, retries/backoff, rate-limiting, idempotency (duplicate prevention).
Integration framework: a clean “connector” pattern to publish content through multiple external platforms (OAuth, token refresh, permissions/scopes, posting + verification logging).
Content pipeline: generate and format content packages (text + media variants) according to per-channel rules and constraints.
Media automation:
Image generation/templating (branding overlays, resizing/cropping variants, asset storage).
Short-form video creation pipeline (template-based assembly, subtitles/overlays, rendering workers, platform-ready exports).
Ops dashboard: job status, logs, connector health, error visibility, manual re-run controls, basic reporting.
What success looks like
A stable system that can run scheduled automation every day.
Failures are visible, recoverable, and don’t create duplicates.
New integrations can be added without redesigning the platform.
Media outputs are consistent, on-brand, and formatted correctly for different destinations.
Requirements
Senior experience shipping production software (full-stack or backend-leaning).
Strong experience with queues/workers and background processing (retries, idempotency, rate limits).
Solid experience with OAuth-based APIs and token lifecycle management.
Experience building maintainable systems: clean architecture, logging/observability, documentation.
Comfortable owning deployment (Docker, environments, basic CI/CD).
Nice to have
Media pipelines (FFmpeg or similar), image processing, template rendering.
Building connector/plugin architectures.
Experience operating automation systems that must run reliably at scale.
Out of scope for this role (for now)
Voice/telephony systems.
CRM/lead routing systems.
Client onboarding UI flows.
