About the Project

Hi! I'm a founder based in Sydney, Australia building a modern SaaS platform for tutoring businesses.

The product will:
• Let tutors and students schedule lessons
• Provide admins with a dashboard to manage bookings, users, payments, and communication
• Integrate with Stripe for billing and invoicing
• Offer white-labelling support for different tutoring brands
• Be clean, scalable, and easy to use — for busy tutoring businesses
We’re using a powerful boilerplate and modern stack to move fast and build well from the start.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a self-managing full-stack developer to take ownership of the MVP build. You’ll be the first technical hire, and will work closely with me as I:
• Scope the features
• Help test your work
• Contribute basic front-end and UI edits using AI tools like Cursor
This role is ideal for a Filipino dev who enjoys working directly with a founder, is confident making decisions, and can deliver well-tested, production-grade features independently.

You’ll be working with:
• Next.js (App Router)
• React
• Supabase (PostgreSQL)
• Prisma
• Clerk for auth
• Stripe for payments
• Tailwind CSS
• Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT (we’re AI-assisted at every step)

What You’ll Build

During the initial 6–8 week MVP sprint, you’ll:
• Implement user roles: tutors, students, parents, admins
• Build lesson scheduling (calendar UI, booking logic, rescheduling)
• Create tutor availability tools
• Set up Stripe payments (SaaS subscriptions first)
• Build admin dashboards with lesson/user management
• Implement email notifications (lesson reminders, confirmations)
• Add configuration settings for white-label readiness
I’ll provide feature specs, test data, mockups, and async feedback to help you move fast.

Our Work Style

Start date: ASAP (you’ll onboard before I travel overseas)

Workflow:
• I’ll assign tasks in ClickUp or Notion with specs + UI examples
• You’ll deliver independently and send a weekly Loom update on Fridays
• I’ll review, test, and give feedback — async-friendly, no micro-management

Communication:
• Async messages (Slack, Telegram, or email)
• Weekly check-ins (Loom video updates + ClickUp progress)

Requirements

You should be experienced with:
• Next.js, React, and modern front-end workflows
• Supabase, Prisma, and Postgres queries
• Stripe integration (Checkout, Webhooks, or Connect)
• Authentication systems (Clerk or similar)

Bonus if you’ve worked with:
• Calendar libraries (like FullCalendar)
• Multi-tenant SaaS platforms or white-labelling logic
• AI-assisted dev tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot

Soft skills matter too: I value clean code, good communication, and initiative.

Compensation

• Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
• Salary pending your experience
• Paid fortnightly via Wise
• 20 days of annual leave annually, 10 days of sick leave annually
• Long-term opportunity after MVP if we’re a good match
• 13 month bonus
