API / Automation Engineer – Canadian Property Ownership Data

We are seeking an experienced API / automation engineer to build a scalable solution for determining property ownership across Canada.

We already possess GPS coordinates and street addresses. The task is to programmatically resolve those locations to parcel identifiers (PID / equivalent) and retrieve the registered landowner (individual or corporate) using commercial data APIs.

This is a backend, data-driven role focused on accuracy, coverage, and automation — not manual research.

Responsibilities
Integrate with commercial property data APIs, including:
- Parlay (ReportAll USA / Canada)
- Houski API
- Other combines API solutions which we can consider

Convert GPS coordinates and/or addresses, then relay this information to us:
- Parcel identifiers (PID or provincial equivalent) & Registered landowner data
- Process datasets efficiently and reliably
- Normalize results into clean, structured outputs (CSV database)
- Document API behavior, limitations, and provincial differences directly with our lead tech specialist.

Required Experience
- Strong experience working with paid / authenticated APIs
- Automation or backend scripting experience
- Address / geospatial data handling
- One or more of: Python, Node.js, PHP, Go

Familiarity with:
- Rate limits
- Error handling
- Data normalization

Strongly Preferred
- Direct experience with Houski, Parlay, or similar property data providers
- Knowledge of Canadian land registry systems
- Experience handling multi-province data inconsistencies
- Real estate, land title, or property intelligence projects
