Job Description:

Luminson Energy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Scraper / Data Scraper Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Web Scraper / Data Scraper Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting and analyzing data from various online sources, enabling us to gather valuable insights and drive data-informed decision-making. Your work will play a critical role in supporting our energy management systems and improving the efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement web scraping scripts and tools to collect data from websites, APIs, and other online sources.
- Analyze and validate the scraped data for accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Clean, transform, and organize the collected data to facilitate further analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Conduct data quality checks and implement measures to ensure data consistency and reliability.
- Monitor and maintain data scraping processes to ensure continuous and accurate data retrieval.
- Stay up-to-date with web scraping techniques, tools, and emerging data sources.
- Assist in the development of data-driven reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Web Scraper, Data Scraper, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in web scraping frameworks and tools such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website structure.
- Experience working with APIs and extracting data from JSON, XML, or other formats.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with database systems and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
