About the job

I own a business where I manage the admin and marketing of African Tour Operator clients, some blogs, and other brands from other industries. I handle mostly digital marketing, brand strategy, events, and regular coordination with clients and their stakeholders.

I am now looking for an Social Media Coordinator to alleviate some of my time-consuming tasks so I can focus on top priorities.

Responsibilities:

- Handle posting of social media content handling up to 6 brands for part time role and up to 10 brands for a full time role
- The content strategy will be provided in the beginning until you are familiar with the client’s products and can come up with it yourself
- The post itself will then be designed by a graphic designer
- Overtime, what you need to do is provide the content draft including the text within the photo or video then you would pass this on to the designer for execution, which will then be given back to your for checking. When approved, you will post it and provide the captions yourself. All designs are done in canva.
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Boost post that’s worth advertising
- Communicate and engage with followers
- Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
- Creating newsletters in some of the brands via mailchimp or similar platform

Mandatory Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of experience from a similar role
- Fluency in english both oral and written
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, GA4, and Search Console is and advantage
- Knowledge of online marketing channels is a must
- Experience in managing social media accounts (knowledegebale with Planner, Hootsuite, Later etc…)
- Very familiar with Asana
- Very comfortable in using google drive and excel
- Very familiar and have used Canva extensively
- Have worked with wordpress or has the familiarity
- Can create simple videos and reels
- You can work independently and can easily familiarize yourself with new systems
- Own a highly functional laptop fit for work use
- Own a highly functional smartphone with high memory and capable of editing and posting on social media as well as downloading multiple apps such as hubspot, canva, others
- Has a subscription to stable internet at your home


Working Set-up

- 100% remote
- This can either be a part time or full-time position
- 12 time offs after 5 months of employment
- There will be no screen or time monitoring. Even though the job is based on deliverables, working hours is preferably from 1pm to 10pm from either Monday to Friday or 4 weekdays and 1 weekend but as mentioned, this can be flexible. However, we need to constantly coordinate so while your actual working hrs can be adjusted, you need to be available online (viber or whatsapp) to answer questions etc… for the most part of the above time range (my timezone is 6hrs behind Philippines so your 1pm is 7am where I reside)
