JOB OVERVIEW

Perez-Roura Law, a Florida-based Estate Planning and Probate Law Firm, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Remote Lawyer to join our team. While experience in the estate planning and probate practice area is valued, it is not a strict requirement for this position. We are open to training and developing the right candidate who possesses a strong legal background and is eager to learn and grow within our firm.

Responsibilities:

Provide Clients with status updates via email, ensuring effective and timely communication.
Draft probate petitions and other forms to be filed in court, adhering to all relevant legal requirements.
Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide accurate and up-to-date legal information.
Electronically file court documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court procedures.
Submit proposed orders to the Court, in coordination with internal teaUpgrade to see actual infombers.
Conduct phone calls to financial institutions, the clerk of courts, and other relevant parties.
Request documents and information from Clients and other individuals, and diligently follow up on requests.
Coordinate hearings with opposing counsel, ensuring smooth scheduling and preparation.
Conduct review calls with clients to verify information and address any concerns or questions.
Coordinate client meetings, ensuring efficient scheduling and logistical arrangements.
Keep the Firm's case management system up to date by maintaining accurate status updates and relevant information.

Requirements:

Strong legal background and passion for the law, with the willingness to learn and excel in the estate planning and probate practice area.
General familiarity with U.S. court procedures (Florida-specific knowledge is a plus).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, court personnel, and other relevant parties.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all legal tasks.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficient in using technology tools and software commonly used in the legal industry.
