Full-Stack Senior Software Developer

MUST HAVE 10+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

We are a fast-growing recruiting company in the transportation industry that helps trucking companies hire professional truck drivers. We are looking to add one highly experienced Senior Software Developer to our team who can assist in the creation and ongoing build out of our new company website and web application/dashboard project.

The project:

Our new web based application/dashboard is meant for trucking companies in the United States. These trucking companies can create an account and gain access to a recruiting dashboard where they can: invite their team of recruiters, post jobs to our public job board, create and save hiring maps, integrate easily with their CRM or ATS, create/request new advertising campaigns, edit their public company profile, and much much more. Truck Drivers can also create a different kind of account where they can view jobs they have applied for, save their favorite trucking companies to view later, and submit content for cash.

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for stepping in to take over the buildout of the project mentioned above. You will work directly with the Director of Product Development & Strategy to fulfill tasks, add features, etc as set by the leadership team. Responsibilities for this position/project include:

Stepping in to take over the project midway through completion.
Manage, set-up, and maintain company GitHub repository.
Oversee Google Maps API implementation within the dev process at the highest level
Building out a map creation interface for truck driver hiring maps that is searchable by zip code
Redesigning/adding new user interface designs to better the user experience
The ability to transform this project into a mobile application, or assist in the process.
Gain a profound understanding of what we are trying to accomplish, and seek to offer recommendations to make process/developmental/visual improvements.
Working with an existing team to take over all development aspects of the project.
Collaborate with team leadership to determine best practices, new features, and customer requirements.
Maintain all assigned applications / systems; create and implement regular updates to address customer and company requirements.
Ensure the highest level of security on all dev projects


Requirements for this position/project include:

Experience working on large scale software projects - You will be required to share examples of some of your best work.
10+ Years experience in both UI and UX design.
A DEEP understanding of web based applications, technologies and API’s.
Proven Professional experience developing software utilizing the following coding languages: Php, Laravel, Java, Python, React, JavaScript, SQL, and Vue.js, among others.
Experience developing secure software systems based upon industry specifications (understanding of OWASP, PII and PCI is a plus)
Substantial working and team leadership experience with concrete results, across different domains and at different scales.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks completely and independently.

Excellent Fluency in English ( Full Professional English)
Minimum of 20 MBPS internet connection and a backup internet line available in case of internet outages
Backup generator that can power a computer for 8 hours in case of power outages
Noise-canceling microphone/headset
Smart Phone required with ability to download applications
A professional working environment free of background noise

This is a work-from-home position so you MUST have fast and reliable internet. A minimum of 20 MBPS internet connection and a backup internet line available in case of internet outages.
