JOB OVERVIEW

About the role:
The User Experience Designer is an integral part of the product development team and helps to define and design the user experience across health and case management applications for desktop and mobile environments. The UX Designer will work in a production environment with other UX designers, software developers, system architects, business analysts, QA/508 testers, and product managers to create best-of-breed software applications. The UX Designer is responsible for gathering and documenting UI requirements, conceptualizing and creating UI wireframes, making high-fidelity prototypes, and following style guides and pattern libraries.

Responsibilities:

- Work with the Lead UX Designer and or project stakeholders to gather UI requirements
- Prepare UI requirements documentation such as workflows, diagrams, sketches, etc.
- Create UI wireframes and prototypes conforming with the Product Design System, including design patterns, interactions, behaviors, navigation, and content structure.


Position requirements:

- UX or Computer Science degree, or equivalent 5+ years of UX experience
- Proficiency in applying UX best practices in the areas of usability, person-centered design, research/analysis, and user testing
- Ability to solve problems and think strategically; participate in brainstorming sessions
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others within a team environment and work independently on individual assignments
- Proficiency using wireframe and prototyping software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Axure RP
- Proficiency using design software including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledgeable in web application and mobile design UI technologies and best practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience with W3C validation, accessibility, usability audits, and tests/debugging across popular web browsers.
