FREIGHT AGENT

NOW HIRING: Experienced Freight Broker Agent with an Established Book of Business in Freight, Auto Transport, Ocean, and Air Freight Industry.

Wheel Trans Logistics, a leading logistics company, is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Freight Broker to join our team. With a focus on freight, auto transport, ocean, and air freight, we are searching for a professional who can leverage their expertise and well-established book of business to deliver outstanding logistics services to our valued clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
• Generate consistent freight opportunities through your established book of business.
• Select, negotiate with, and oversee carriers to ensure reliable transportation solutions.
• Effectively utilize the Ascend TMS (Transportation Management System) for load management, carrier onboarding, rate

negotiation, and dispatching

• Communicate and negotiate rates with shippers and carriers, promptly resolving any issues.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to adapt strategies accordingly.
• Proactively address challenges and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet and exceed performance targets and goals.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of experience working as a Freight Broker
• Demonstrated success and a proven track record in the freight brokerage industry
• Established book of business with strong relationships with shippers
• Extensive carrier base nationwide and in-depth knowledge of carrier selection and management
• Proficiency in using the Ascend TMS (Transportation Management System)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational abilities and exceptional time management skills
• In-depth knowledge of the freight brokerage industry, including industry trends and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and collaboratively
