JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:
A Product Specialists key function is to provide solutions to our clients’ needs and requests. You will do this through product sourcing, pricing, and client research. The Product Specialist (PS) serves as a primary point of contact for product sourcing between our Vendors (sourcing inquires), Project Managers (PM), and Order Managers (OM). This position requires an individual with attention to Upgrade to see actual infosential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create proposals based on the project scope. The Project Manager will inform all project needs via the client inquiry or sales representative request.
- Establish attainable deadlines for each project assigned, reporting any discrepancies in deadlines to the Project Manager (PM).
- Update the Project Status daily and send to the Project Manager (PM).
- Keep consistent communication with the Project Manager on project status, ensuring that each project is on-time and meets the project scope.
- Source appropriate products to meet the clients’ needs, recording all needed information for the Order Manager (OM) to enter the quote and meet the clients In-Hands date. (Product Lead time, NET pricing, Inventory, ETC.).
- Request boards from the Design Team if requested from the Project Manager (PM).
- Send completed projects to the Project Manager for client Approval.
- Provide extensive detail to the Project Manager (PM) and Order Manager (OM) regarding each item, to ensure ease of flow.
- Maintain all vendor email communication regarding product pricing, lead times and availability.
- Research each client extensively ensuring we understand who they are and what they stand for.
- Take extensive notes regarding our client’s standards and guidelines, to establish client books for future requests.
- Escalate any major order complications to the Director of Client Experience.
- Works cross functionally and collaboratively with Order Managers (OM) and Project Managers (PM) as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
Previous experience with order processing is preferred, a high school graduate or GED equivalent is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail alongside speed and efficiency.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- Ability to function independently and multitask.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
- Team player with a great attitude and work ethic.
