Experienced Tech Writer Needed for Newsletter on Artificial Intelligence

Great Robot is a newsletter created to explain AI for business in plain English. We help our audience of creators, entrepreneurs, and startups turn the complexities of artificial intelligence into actionable (and entertaining) insights that make money and save time. We think of ourselves as their cool MBA friend, minus the boring lectures and the bad jokes.

Opportunity Overview

We're seeking a talented and passionate tech writer to write, edit, and publish high-quality and actionable articles that make up our daily newsletter. These articles include things such as software reviews, how-to guides, and news summaries. Articles are created using a pre-defined workflow that includes AI writing tools such as ChatGPT and more.

The right person for this job is therefore someone who is an experienced tech writer and editor with mastery of the English language who can write articles ofUpgrade to see actual infowords that match our brand voice. They will also have experience using AI writing tools like ChatGPT as well as editorial operations experience such as uploading and publishing articles to WordPress.

We would like to start part-time with the ability to work up to full-time as we get comfortable with each other :)

What You'll Do

- Research, write, and edit 10-15 articles per week of roughlyUpgrade to see actual infowords in length based on defined workflows
- Create 5 draft newsletters per week using the Beehiiv email marketing platform based on a defined template
- Ensure that all content is well-structured, accurate, and adheres to our style guide and quality standards
- Consistently meet deadlines with the highest-quality work
- Stay up-to-date with the latest news, research, and advancements in AI to ensure our content is relevant and valuable
- Create social media assets

Who You Are

- Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced, remote environment where things change quickly
- At least 2 years of experience as a tech writer, journalist, or content creator, preferably within the AI industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to digest complex information and present it in a clear manner
- Familiarity with AI concepts, tools, and tactics, as well as an understanding of the needs and interests of our audience
- Experience using ChatGPT and other AI writing tools to aid in the writing process
- A proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach to work
- Strong internet connection with the ability to take video calls
