Built Mighty / Little Rhino is a remote US-based Web Development company focused on building great software and solutions for our customers. With 28 employees around the US supporting custom Laravel applications and helping e-commerce companies achieve more with WooCommerce and WordPress.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with GitHub, Docker, and Digital Ocean and will be responsible for automating and streamlining our development processes. You will be responsible for creating a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure to support our applications.

This contract position has flexible hours ranging from 30-40 hours a week depending on availability and skill level.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions using GitHub, Docker, and Digital Ocean
Create and manage Docker containers, images, and registries
Develop and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions
Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, capacity, and reliability
Automate and streamline deployment processes using configuration management tools
Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 production support
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation tools

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related field
Strong understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with GitHub, including version control and GitHub Actions
Familiarity with Digital Ocean or other cloud platforms,
Proficient in scripting languages
Familiarity with configuration management tools
Experience with monitoring and logging tools
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
