Routing Manager

Full Time: 40 hrs per week?
US hours are required (roughly 9 am to 6pm ET)

Background: We are looking to hire a Routing Manager to manage dynamic, daily routing using the company’s existing software tools, namely RouteManager by WorkWave. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, a strong communicator, and constantly looking to find ways to improve the efficiency and reliability of our distribution routes.

Responsibilities:

-Utilize RouteManager by WorkWave to adjust existing routes or create new routes for the following workday.
-Improve routing efficiency, measured in cost per mile, product margin per mile, total miles driven, fulfillment percentage, among others to be mutually-agreed upon.
-Work with dispatcher to assign trucks and drivers to each route and manage driver overtime hours.
-Work with equipment service providers to schedule preventative maintenance and track vehicles using onboard GPS hardware Samsara.
-Distribute daily routing sheet to all company employees.
-Work with procurement to balance pickups of product from local farms.
-Work with sales team to assign new customers to existing routes or recommend increasing the number of routes to a particular area.
-Provide sales teaUpgrade to see actual infombers with recommendations on when to move customers within the day or week to ensure product is fulfilled on-time and in-full.
-Work with sales and procurement teams to fill in gaps in information (example: receiver contact info, delivery instructions, etc.)
-Work with the CEO and head of technology to generally improve the routing process.

Qualifications:

-Routing and/or logistics experience.
-Experience with Route Manager by WorkWave not required but is a plus.
-Process-driven, strong attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
-Strong written and verbal skills required – ability to speak with company management as well as delivery drivers.
-Proficient in English is required.
-Familiarity with Slack, the company messaging program, not required but is a plus.
-Experience with ERP’s (candidate will need to be trained up on Food Connex)
-Accounting experience not required, but familiarity with financial statements is a positive
