Bookkeeper (must have Australian bookkeeping and Xero experience)

Hippo Business Services is looking for a Full-time Bookkeeper to work for one of our clients in Melbourne, performing all-around accounts and various daily duties including management of funds, the BAS, PAYG, payroll, compliance and other reporting requirements.

You must have at least 1 year XERO experience with at least 3+ years of proven bookkeeping/accounting experience.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately record and manage day-to-day financial transactions and prepare the monthly accounts
Liaise with the external Accountant for annual accounts and tax queries
Reconciliation, preparation and lodgment of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
Reconciliation of bank accounts
Manage the accounts payable function including the processing of invoices due for payment
Manage the accounts receivable function including the allocation of payments
Credit control of overdue payments
Process payroll and other payroll-related tasks
Deliver presentations with updates from the Finance Department at the weekly teaUpgrade to see actual infoetings
Coordinate shared tasks with other department administrators
Develop and manage Finance Department SOPs
