Position Overview

As a senior developer you will be responsible for contributing to and overseeing Focus On Force’s back-end and front-end platform development.


Responsibilities:


- Oversee and perform on-going development and maintenance of the Focus On Force WordPress site; this includes WordPress development, plugin management, site customizations, page optimizations

- Oversee and manage the development and testing environments and development process, including version control repositories

- Manage the uptime of the live environment and resolve any service interruptions either caused by platform or hosting issues.

- Act as the escalation point, to effectively work with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to assist in researching, exploring options, finding appropriate solutions and resolving challenges and issues where required.

- Perform peer code review and contribute in constantly improving the development process

- Collaborate with internal and external teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to lead, design, and implement new features and functionality

- Identify new plugins that can be used on the website and test them in staging environment


Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 5+ years of experience building websites, with particular emphasis in developing using WordPress and PHP
- Maintenance and development experience for WordPress plugins such as Woocommerce and Learndash

- Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and lateral thinking skills
