Job Description

As a Front-End App Engineer, you will be responsible for all the design, UI, coding, submission to app stores, and ongoing upgrades as well as web applications. These applications interface with an ESP32. The end users of the applications include both internal teams as well as external customers on multi-time zones and various internet speeds.

You will be working with a backend IOT Engineer who designs, develops, and manages the hardware and back-end interfaces. You’ll also be working along side the owner on design, architecture, integration, and maintenance of the applications in order to keep up with the advancement of technology stacks. You will be in a position to build a team of other engineers, developers, and designers around you as the company grows.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 years experience in developing, deploying and maintaining B2C, B2B, or enterprise production level cloud and/or mobile applications.

The role will encompass the use of a broad range of development technologies, operating systems and application environments. The main projects that you will need to determine the appropriate tech stack for are:

MOBILE APPS - Both Android and iOS apps with bluetooth functionality,
color wheels, scheduling, scene customization, brightness sliders, etc. to configure light patterns and animations for the WS2811 RGB LED Pixels installed on the home.

WEB APP - Customer centric web interface for controlling their lights and devices. This will have the same look and feel as the mobile apps.

ADMIN DASHBOARD - Create an admin portal to troubleshoot
customer devices remotely and configure as needed.

Key Responsibilities / Primary Work:
Design and develop front-end software and firmware for connected devices, web applications, and mobile applications.
Focus on innovating new and better ways to create solutions that add value and amaze the end user, with a penchant for simple elegant design in every aspect from data structures to code to UI and systems architecture.
Stay up to date on relevant technologies, plug into user groups, understand trends and opportunities that ensure we are using the best techniques and tools.
Qualifications Of A Successful Candidate:
1+ years of experience with
Cross-platform mobile application development frameworks( such as Flutter or React Native).
REST API (RESTful API) Integrations.
WiFi and Bluetooth Technology, preferably Bluetooth Low Energy.
Experienced with mobile app deployment on Google Play and App Store.
General experience with
Git (GitHub / GitLab)
Both Linux/ Windows Platforms
Creating documentation and reports
Jira or other Project Tracking Software
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
You're a natural problem-solver and willing to take initiative.
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with WLED and/or ESP32 microcontrollers is HUGE!
Successfully built IOT Upgrade to see actual infoputer Science or other equivalent technical education.
Professional commitment to high quality, and a passion for learning new Upgrade to see actual infotail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies.
Strong problem solving skills, including providing simple solutions to complex situations.
Must be a strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically dispersed working environment.
