As a Bookkeeper, you are responsible for recording and maintaining a business' financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments. The bookkeeper will record financial data into general ledgers, which are used to produce the balance sheet and income statement.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Accounts payable
Bank & credit card reconciliation
Preparing end-of-month reconciliations
Data entry
Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
Processing payments and payroll
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Recording of debits and credits
Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
Monitor any variances from the projected budget
Understand Australian taxes (preferred but not required)
Ideal Candidate
Reliable and strong work ethic and good time management skills
A team player with the ability to work autonomously
Proven track record of working autonomously
Preparation of all accounts and BAS
Knowledge of XERO, Quickbooks, Zoho, Fresh Books, or other applications
Ability to generate weekly and monthly reports
Friendly and confident verbal communication
Ability to prioritise and self-manage time frames
Intermediate computer skills (including Google Sheets or Excel)
High levels of accuracy
Can work 10-15 hours per week
Willing to work in Sydney time zone or 6 am to 3 pm PH time.
