We are looking for an individual with a high level of understanding of written and verbal English knowledge. To succeed in this role, you must have experience in developing and editing content and excellent communication and organizational skills. A bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or a related field is mandatory.
Skills and Requirements:
— Proven experience as a Content Editor, Web Editor, or similar role. A portfolio of
published content is required.
— Ability to conduct research and verify the contents and their relevance to the subject.
— Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
— Exceptional writing and editing skills in English.
— Proficiency in grammar, writing style, and tools to improve the content further.
— Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress).
— Proficiency in MS Office applications and Google Suite is required.
— Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
— Highly organized and detail-oriented.
— Ability to keep all critical information private (confidentiality).
— Has a reliable working PC, a stable internet connection, and a noise-canceling headset.
— Teamwork and collaboration skills.
— Ability to maintain brand consistency and accuracy in any task.
— Comfortable working with a time-tracking tool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
— Going over the content and getting the content ready for publishing or promotion.
— Researching and proofreading and communicating with writers to determine
the composition of specific texts in a document.
— Reading and evaluating written text for grammatical and typographical errors and
evaluating the dimensions of page elements such as images, text spacing, and
positioning to ensure they conform to set specifications.
— Review the use of standard and recognized symbols by printing and publishing
companies, marking corrections highlighted by editors/authors and ensuring they reflect
on the master set proof.
— Rephrasing written text to ensure document structure and content are consistent.
