What you should have

-Experience in a startup environment
-Strong software testing skills with practical work experience
-Demonstrated experience in testing cloud-delivered systems at all layers: Web UI testing (Protractor/Selenium/WebDriver), API endpoint testing, and continuous integration systems (Circle CI, Travis, etc.)
-Fluency in Javascript/Typescript is required
-Experience with HTML5 and CSS3 is required
-Experience with mobile development frameworks Apache Cordova, Ionic, and testing tools (Appium) is a plus

What you’ll do

Tests are essential to maintaining development velocity. As such, you will be an integral part of the product development team and your mission is to help the company keep on track and safely deploy new features with confidence. You will be a key stakeholder in the feature submission process and are expected to design and execute test strategies for new features and automate them as required. You will ensure the test automation framework is working and available for the team and the continuous integration environment.

The stack is based entirely on Typescript with Angular on the frontend and NodeJS on the backend. They use MongoDB as the primary data store. They deploy to the cloud using Docker. They use Circle CI for CI/CD and tests are executed with Jasmine, Karma & Protractor.

-Review requirements & technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback
-Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
-Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
-Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
-Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
-Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
-Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products
-Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and PMs) to identify system requirements
-Monitor debugging process results
-Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
-Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
