We are seeking a certified Medical Biller. This role would be a flexible contracting role providing support through coding, submitting claims, and covering end-to-end billing, which will eventually include billing collections, working directly with insurance, and denial management.

- You are fluent in the administrative responsibilities of medical billing and Upgrade to see actual infodical Biller Job Description:

- Prepare and submit claims electronically to multiple insurance companies within 24 hours
- Record charges and payments
- Experience using EMR billing systems; willingness to learn new systems
- CPT and ICD coding
- Collect and analyze claims; verify accuracy of billing data
- Appeals and follow-up with the different insurance carriers, including composing and submitting proper appeals accordingly
- Process denials
- Address patterns of underpayments and/or denials
- Review the EOBs and processes the rejections and denials in a timely manner
- Review, monitor, and evaluate third-party reimbursement compliance and research variances
- Review chart documentation under audit for accuracy and completeness prior to submitting records to insurance carriers
- Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
- Timely working on claim rejections
- Timely and effective denial management
- Continuous monitoring of payer rules and regulations
- Conduct all duties in a professional and timely fashion
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding patients’ accounts, in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy and security policies and regulations
- Must be well-organized, able to multitask, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to complete projects and assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to use strong concentration skills
- Ability to rely on verbal memory and learning of new medical terminology
- Knowledge of medical insurance requirements

Qualifications:
- Billing experience in mental healthcare highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical computerized billing and scheduling software systems
- High school or equivalent: required, some college preferred
- ICD-10: 3+ years preferred
- Medical billing: 3+ years experience preferred
- Certification in medical billing and coding
- Excellent written and oral skills
