Estimator (Network & Audio/Video Technology Blueprints)

Layer-1 Technologies is seeking an Estimator (also skilled in other VA functions), to assist in estimating technology projects.

We will provide applicant with project blueprints, supplemental documentation, and additional details.

Applicant would need to do the following:
— Review detailed blueprints and ALL supplemental information
— Understand and compile all necessary information relating to low-voltage cabling (Cat-6, Fiber Optic, Audio/Video), network, and audio/video system infrastructure.
— Calculate linear feet of required cabling.
— Locate all necessary materials to purchase, and compile into itemized list, per project.
— Determine all items/details/paperwork/certifications/accreditation/licenses, etc. as required by law, general contractors, project owners, superintendents, etc.
— Return itemized estimate information to our management team (with links and references to all data, for review)
— Maintain a running list of important contact persons
— Be proficient in using Asana project management software
— Be proficient in speaking, reading, writing in American English
— Be proficient in using Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Forms, etc.)
— Have a webcam, and computer capable of recording screen capture videos, to regularly report back to Management.

We have new projects added daily, sometimes multiple projects.

This will be a full-time position.
