Video Content Editor

I am looking for a proactive Video Content Editor to work collaboratively with me on various video editing projects and deliverables. Sometimes, the video edit may take a couple hours. Some other times, the video edit may take a couple weeks of consistent editing. You must be very detail-oriented, be tech-savvy, and have an extremely strong video editing background to be successful in this role. You have to be able to mimic the editing styles of top YouTubers and creators.

This is part time to start, and may transition to full time if you have the bandwidth, and if you do well. Please keep this in mind before you apply. If you are unable to work part time for a couple months before a possible transition to full time, please DO NOT apply.

You may work on a variety of video editing projects, including podcast video editing, long-form YouTube videos, short-form YouTube videos, both vertical and horizontal videos, and everything in-between. You need to have experience using video editors such as Filmora 11 and/or other editors of your choice. You also will need to learn how to use CapCut, if you don't know how already.

Video Content Editor Requirements and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Strong English skills, especially grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Experience using Filmora 11 and/or other video editors
- Be extremely tech-savvy
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in similar roles
- An intermediate understanding of marketing
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving
- Able to proactively address potential issues
- Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
- Positive and encouraging personality
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to the team's success
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment

BONUS POINTS:
- 5+ years in video editing with a proven portfolio to demonstrate this
- Have already used CapCut before

Compensation is $3-8 USD/hr to start, depending on experience and track record. Raises will come if you exceed expectations.
