We are looking for a talented, passionate and experienced HR Assistant. Reporting to the VP of People and Upgrade to see actual info this role you will be one of the dedicated points of contact for all things payroll, onboarding, offboarding, people management and so much more. We value self starters that love working with people, and that are excited about the idea of contributing to the growth of our company. We are looking for a true A-PLAYER!

The successful candidate must be easy to talk to, know how to carry a conversation, and value long-term relationship building, then this is the role for you! We love candidates of all types who are detail-oriented, organized and hardworking. This role is an essential part of our business; you will work closely with others in a team atmosphere on various projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

-2-4 years in HR or high level office administration
-A Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Degree in Human Resources Management, or related relevant work experience
-Experience with running payroll softwares: reviewing and processing payroll in accordance with company and regulatory requirements for both hourly and salary employees. (experience with Ceridian is considered an asset)
-Experience with managing timesheets
-Ability to manage the orientation/onboarding of new hires
-Manage the offboarding of existing employees, including coordinating access de-provisioning and conducting exit interviews
-A reliable and fast internet connection, and a reliable computing device



Key Responsibilities:

-Knowledge of and exposure to a range of human resources activities, including some of the following: recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, compensation, performance management, employee relations, timesheet management and employee communications
-Excellent computer skills, proficiency with G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc) and knowledge in Microsoft office suite aptitude
-Strong communication skills, as well as written and spoken English
-Able to work and achieve targets with minimal supervision
-Relentless, Proactive, Determined, Autonomous, and Passionate
-Capacity to handle multiple requests simultaneously
-Great ability to work in a team and ability to organize work according to the objectives to be achieved


Working Hours:

- This is a full-time, Monday - Friday 8 hour a day position. We need someone who is available from 9:00am EST - 5:00pm EST Monday through Friday during the initial training period, with flexible hours afterward the training period. Availability after training to work on weekends and after hours is an asset.
