JOB OVERVIEW

We have a website redesign ready to go in Figma (whipped up by our own designer) where most of the design has been implemented.

Some pages contain placeholder content, which likely needs to be converted in the production version. Just as a couple of examples, we currently have placeholders for category pages & blog posts. However, these need to be changed so that our content writers can upload & categorize blog posts without much issue on a regular basis.

We are now looking for a developer to help us with the final touches. Along with helping us wrap up the redesign, this developer will also enhance the site with a list of feature requests that we have.

The ideal partner will audit the existing tech stack and make recommendations about optimizing & simplifying the site. The goals are to end up with a site that is stable, fast, and easy to work with.

Additionally, you should have a good sense UI/UX best practices, a professional eye for design, and attention to detail, but we have a designer who will do the heavy lifting for these aspects.

OUR OBJECTIVE:
UI/UX best practices
Simplicity & Stability
Easy to maintain, update, edit
Standards-compliant
Site Speed

Here are the phases for the project:

PRE-PROJECT: AUDIT, ESTIMATE, PLAN

You'll audit the existing site, and then create a detailed plan & a rough estimate for man-days and work-hours that you think will be required to satisfy the project requirements. This writeup will also describe themes, widgets, and plugins to be used. We welcome recommendations for new widgets and plugins which we haven't installed, which we'll discuss with Upgrade to see actual infoASE 1: ENGAGEMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

Based on estimates, we'll pick choose the developer, who will then proceed to build the site. If the developer encounters any issues or roadblocks that deviates from the original plan, the developer not only needs to communicate with us but also inform the benefits & downsides for the Upgrade to see actual infoASE 2: LAUNCHING & TESTING / QC

You'll test & QC the site. Once you're finished, our internal team will do the same. You'll update the site Upgrade to see actual infoASE 3: DOCUMENTATION, HANDOFF, TRAINING

This project will also involve training & documentation of the process to update site content.

CURRENT STACK:

We're currently using Elementor and TheGem theme.

We have access to Elementor Exclusive Addons, Greenshift, Yellowpencil free, Spectra, Crocoblock.

We certainly are very keen on WP's native blocks. We are open to other WP plugins to provide the features on our wishlist. At the Upgrade to see actual infont, we are not too interested in migrating away from Elementor, but we are open to suggestions that perform and can be implemented faster.
