Financial Analyst

This is a dream job for anyone in FP&A who is a great financial analyst but wants to become a top-teir financial analyst or move into finance management. You will perform a very broad range of financial forecasting, modeling, and reporting techniques for both internal use and on behalf of customers.

This position reports directly to the CEO &/or VP of Financial Transformation. This is almost like an FP&A/consulting mix job as you work both internally and with customers.

We have built a forecasting and analytics platform for Corporate Finance teams. You will be taught how to use our financial platform, and you will perform various tasks for both us internally and for our clients. Types of activities include:
- Financial forecasting (revenue, COGS, headcount, operating expenses, etc.)
- Financial modeling
- Building reports
- Building dashboards
- Testing various parts of our platform
- Researching markets & statistics
- Helping with business cases

Your required skillset:
- Clear and well-spoken English
- Professional, but casual and relaxed
- Confidence to speak your mind and ask questions until you understand
- Degree in Finance (accounting, finance, corporate accounting, audit, etc.)
- At least 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst
- Understanding of the financial statements and how they work together
- How to perform bottoms-up forecasts for the Income Statement
- How to build reports/charts/graphs in Excel
- You must know advanced Excel
- You must be able to think critically and be a problem solver
- You must be able to work quickly and under pressure (our customers expect fast results)
- If taken on full-time, you must not have any other job and must be available full time

Lastly, you MUST be honest & transparent about what you do & do not know. I have 10+ years of experience in Finance both as an analyst and as a leader and I will question you directly. If I detect lies or a stretch of the truth you will be immediately disqualified.

Nice to have, but definitely not required, skillset:
- Masters in Finance
- 1+ years in FP&A
- Systems/ERP experience (SAP/BPC, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or any other financial forecasting tool)
- MS Power Query experience
- SQL experience
- Business Intelligence (Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc.) experience
