JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities Include:

Create code that expands the current theme and shop functionalities
Architecture the ecommerce business, with planning for domains, fulfilment, catalogue data, product ratings, customer service interactions, internal operations.
Make sure that the product catalogue is complete and has minimum data for external sales channels
Maintaining and creating product feeds (via DataFeedWatch) for external sales channels
Assisting the marketing team in creating campaigns and discounts via Shopify Scripts, Theme Settings and Sections and via other tools/platforms
Make sure all channels (including social media) are up to date and working as expected
Oversee SEO efforts and help the marketing team with technical SEO decisions
Control company user provisioning and deprovisioning, and assisting with minor IT tasks (hardware, software, network, internet, server)
Hunt for bugs and test across major browsers and mobile devices
Be involved in Shopify’s updates – always on the pulse with what is new!

The ideal candidate will have:

2+ years’ experience in front end web development (Liquid, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5/CSS3+) – Ruby, React and/or Node JS experience is a bonus!
Min 1 year experience with Shopify Plus
Strong semantic HTML skills and technical SEO knowledge
Great CSS and CSS Pre-processors (SASS) skills
Strong Javascript knowledge, without relying on jQuery
Strong knowledge of Shopify Apps: Shopify Scripts (Ruby) and Shopify Flow
Experience with Shopify integrations: Okendo, Klaviyo, Accounting Software, Customer Service/CRM, Fulfilment Apps
Well-versed in Google platform: GMC and Google Manufacturer Centre, GA, GSC
Good understanding of semantic HTML and BEM CSS methodology
An eye for design, attention to detail, and a mindset of continuous improvement
Ability to correctly estimate and manage tasks
Ability to follow file structures, code formatting and file naming conventions
Ability to think creatively and logically to overcome technical limitations and challenges
A 'can-do' attitude that can be applied to your work, the team around you and the business as a whole
Excellent verbal and written skills
A strong team focused approach
Experience within task management software such as Asana or Monday is a bonus!
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is a bonus!
