QA Developer

QA Developer - Role and Responsibilities

- Collaborate with other developers to test features and bug fixes before they are deployed to a staging or production environment
- Work with the development team to plan iterations and sprints
- Manually test new features or bug fixes to verify that all of the specifications have been met; test for different scenarios and errors or empty states
- Provide clear feedback to developers on items that need to be adjusted
- Write automated tests for testing core functionality of applications; assist devops to eventually incorporate these tests into a CI/CD pipeline

Preferred Skills and Experience

- Strong communication skills: proactively provide updates on progress and roadblocks
- Ability to work in a team environment with other developers
- A strong desire to always learn and improve development skills
- Some experience with PHP (Laravel framework) and JavaScript (Vanilla, React, or other frameworks)
- Experience with automated testing tools such as PHPUnit, Cypress, Testing Library, etc
- A passion for problem solving, creativity, thinking outside of the box, and finding bugs or errors that no one would ever think about
- Maintains a healthy GitHub repository
