Web Developer

We are looking to hire a Web Developer who is savvy with WordPress to create and maintain attractive and functional, conversion focused websites for our clients. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integrations, maintenance, and updates. Additionally, you will be tasked with the ongoing management and completion of web-based projects on behalf of our client services team and other internal departments.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of WordPress, PHP, development best practices, front-end languages, and a good eye for aesthetics. Ultimately, you will be creating and maintaining attractive, user friendly websites while also supporting internal product development efforts and initiatives.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility

- Constructing and maintaining client websites (Home Services Industry)
- Developing and implementing WordPress themes and plugins
- Troubleshooting website-related issues
- Provide support for our Client Services team by handling tickets and requests
- Managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Professional Competencies, Skills & Qualifications

- 3+ years of related professional experience
- Strong understanding of PHP and WordPress
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience developing responsive websites
- Experience building user interfaces for web applications
- Comfortable debugging issues and troubleshooting website related issues
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git)
- Strong communication skills
