Review and update to do list and calendar for Attorney Brooks, schedule travel, and make
reservations
• Receiving, screening, and processing all inbound
ensuring the documents are efficiently and accurately associated with the correct client files;
• Reviewing all outbound
correct locations
• Opening all new case files and submitting initial representation and retainer fee documents to
the VA Evidence Intake Center and US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims;
• Learning and working in the firm’s various systems, databases, and applications such as
Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS), Caseflow, and CLIO the legal case
management system
• Send follow ups and update to clients and personnel when necessary
•
• Monitors status of the cases and schedule meetings with clients and others
• Maintains/tracks the payments from VA
• Primary point of contact for process-related questions
• Responds to Legal-related general
• Conversion of documents to PDF
• Inbound and outbound calls to and from clients and others
• Coordinates, schedules, facilitate case reviews, case conferences, teleconference with the
client, and medical professionals
• Creates SOP’s and process flows
• Assigns legal cases to nurse/MD reviewers

Preferred Experience:
• High school diploma required or general education degree (GED); or one to three months
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Working knowledge with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, preferred; and,
• Administrative or clerical experience
• Legal experience is a plus
