About the Role

The Assistant Accountant/VA to the CFO is primarily responsible for the day-to-day Finance processing to meet deliverables relative to Bank reconciliations, Accounts Payable, and Receivable. Liaising with third parties regularly and communicating with all departments of the business, the role will be remote support to Mad Mex teaUpgrade to see actual infombers. This role assists the Financial Controller to carry out key Finance projects and new initiatives in the Upgrade to see actual info addition, the Assistant Accountant / VA to the CFO is also responsible for providing administrative services to the CFO in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

- 30% of time spent as a VA

- 70% of time spent Accountant

1. BANK RECONCILIATIONS · Support bank reconciliation process within the business

2. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE · Support in the preparation of monthly invoices for royalty & marketing fee income to the network, and schedule direct debit on a fixed term. Assist in the preparation of sales invoices e.g. Franchisee on-charge, wholesale, rebates, etc. · Distribute monthly statements

3. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE · Liaise with the outsourced payable company for the management of all AP. Assist with the weekly supplier statement reconciliations (15-20 suppliers) and follow up with variances

4. VISIBILITY FOR PERFORMANCE · Support Ad hoc projects as designated by the CFO and Financial Controller that will assist the improvement of Finance processes and provide the business with insights and actionable Upgrade to see actual infoitiate special reports to assist the Management team in achieving their goals and objectives

5. CALENDAR MANAGEMENT · Manages calendar to ensure no conflicting meetings · Books meetings & meeting rooms as requested

6. EMAIL MANAGEMENT · Reviews all emails. Prioritises and communicates priority responses with CFO

7. ADMINISTRATION · Books travel as requested · Populates and circulates agendas for meetings as requested · Completes and submits leave forms as requested · Completes credit card reconciliation · Dials into meetings, takes minutes, and circulates as requested · Compiles meeting agendas and circulates as requested · Drafts up presentations as requested · Researches information as requested · Assists with other administrative tasks as requested

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

· Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (hospitality preferred)

· Qualifications in accounting/business/commerce, CA/CPA qualified / partially qualified

· Experience in ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred)

· Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload in a busy environment

· Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (including XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PIVOT TABLES, QUERY, etc.)

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

· Australian payroll experience preferred but not required

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Able to work autonomously

· Career progression, eager to learn and adapt to new areas of the department

· Extensive experience in providing executive support and assistance at a senior level.

· Strong organisational skills, the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.

· Capacity to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively in a team environment

· Demonstrated experience in showing initiative and a proactiveness approach to all tasks

· Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

· Demonstrated high-level skills in dealing confidently and courteously with key stakeholders (both internally & externally).

· Experience in event management including organising workshops, events, and meetings
