Senior Accountant
An experienced Financial Accountant is required for a Sydney Australian Chartered Accounting firm.
We are a Sydney Australian based firm providing bookkeeping, accounting, management information as well as compliance services such as BAS IAS and year-end tax returns.

Predominantly a senior financial accounting role, we require an experienced accountant to be responsible for the end to end accounting and bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients. This also includes responsibility for payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Various experience with software is fundamental and proven hands on experience preferred over qualifications as you must be competent in fundamentals of accounting processing and month and year end completion to final reports.

Although not essential, Australian Tax experience and knowledge would be a positive skill.

Reporting directly to senior managers, your role will involve:
• Responsible for data entry bookkeeping end to end
• Accounts payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Payroll not essential but preferred
• General ledger year end reconciliation to final accounts and reporting
• Work Australian hours but work to deadline focused with Australian employee entitlements/benefits
• Administration and operational support functions will be required

Skill & Experience.
• Experience with xero/myob and OCR software (Dext)
• a minimum of 6 years’ experience accounting and hands on experience
• reconciliation of all GL accounts
• experience preferred over qualification
• payroll as this is time sensitive, working to exact timelines
• proven commercial role experience
• work without supervision - ability to identify issues and rectify.
