Virtual Accountant (Temporary)

This job is currently temporary (likely through the end of December) with a possibility of becoming Upgrade to see actual info will likely range from 30-40 hours depending on experience.

We are a growing accounting company based in the US, that provides churches with financial services. We are growing our team and are looking for another virtual accountant (with Quickbooks Online experience) to be a part of our team. Our team is welcoming and supportive and we love to see people reach their full potential.

We are seeking a virtual accountant to utilize hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices to perform accounting activities (US-based knowledge preferable). This role will be responsible for completing a wide variety of tasks starting such as:
-Accounts Payable: Create bills, process payments, vendor reconciliations
-Accounts Receivable: Post donations to appropriate donor records
-Vendors: Maintain vendors, prepare 1099's
-Employees: Process payroll and post or adjust entries as needed
-Quickbooks Online: Post transactions from bank feeds or statements and other source documents
-GL: Post journal entries and maintain the chart of accounts
-Reconciliation: Reconcile all bank/liability accounts for clients
-Reporting: Review and prepare monthly financial statements and annual reporting.

To be a good fit, an applicant:
-Must speak, write and read fluent English (and can discern nuances)
-Must have experience with Microsoft Office, file sharing tools, and Quickbooks Online (Certification preferred)
-Highly preferred if you have experience with Gusto and LastPass
-On-call working hours 10:00 pm-2:00 am (Philippines Time) - this may vary.
-Must be self-motivated, have a desire to research and problem solve and must be hard-working. Must be willing to go above and beyond and uphold a culture of excellence and value for clients.
-Must be good with technology and be able to troubleshoot for maximum efficiency.
-Must be a CPA
-Having a passion for faith-based organizations is a plus!
