JOB OVERVIEW

We are a fast-growing HR, Payroll, and Benefits company based in the USA. We currently have a team of dedicated workers in the Philippines who are our experts in HR and Payroll. We are looking for someone who can join this team and develop into a true SUPERSTAR client advocate.

We hire full-time, with great pay, and provide excellent support, including laptops, monitors, headsets, and even chairs upon completion of training!

THE ROLE:

The US Tax Specialist will be tasked with the company’s accurate allocation of expenses and income in QuickBooks, basic accounts payable in Upgrade to see actual info, coordinating registration in payroll tax localities, conducting intermittent audits, as well as reviewing or updating payroll tax records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 years experience in US Payroll and/or multi-state payroll tax or,
Strong knowledge in the following areas of payroll processing: multi-state and local taxes, payroll tax maintenance, gross-to-net calculations, year-end W-2s/W-2Cs and other related payroll tax tasks
Experience with other payroll and tax filing platforms
Preferably with experience with the use of the Kronos and/or Master Tax platform
Self-starter, ability to adapt rapidly to new information
Strong tax analysis, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong relationship-building skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients to surpass shared goals
Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Process timely reporting to the IRS, and other jurisdictions and agencies including the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Multi-Site Reporting.
-Registration of new employment tax jurisdictions.
-Stays current on legislative and industry changes that affect US payroll tax withholding, remittance, or filing obligations.
-Monthly tax update testing, validation, and documentation of results.
-Prepare all quarterly and year-end activities including balancing, reporting, and administering year-end tax forms to ensure timely and accurate filing and payments.
-Respond timely to tax notifications and Client and their employees tax inquiry.
-Ensure customer service excellence is consistently provided to company’s internal and external customers.
-Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central Time
