WordPress Developer / Administrator

We are an online Amazon Web Services (AWS) education provider and need a developer with a minimum of 5-years experience who can manage our website. The site runs on WordPress with the BuddyBoss theme and LearnDash LMS. Our eCommerce engine is WooCommerce. The developer must be familiar with this software and will be required to test and manage updates in a DevOps environment running on Pantheon with GitHub.

Programming skills (PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML) and the ability to create custom plugins is a must. The successful candidate will also be expected to implement performance optimizations which may include custom code and MySQL database optimizations.

We are a small team in a growing company with solid long-term prospects. Working hours are flexible though we may sometimes require you to be accessible during business hours in the US EST time zone. The initial requirement is for around 20 hours of work each week and this should increase over time. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
